About the Artist

Megan Rose is an artist and designer from Northwest Arkansas. She works as an in-house artist and bookseller for Once Upon A Time Books and recently completed two murals for their Fayetteville location. She has appeared in several gallery shows across the US including the Graci Gallery in Marquette, Michigan, and has attended multiple studio workshops with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Here, she found her passion for artistic expression grew exponentially, which pushed her to further her skills and techniques. Cultivating her craft in fine arts at a very young age, she believes in the importance of an artist's distinct lens and perspective of the world that surrounds us.

Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, her abstract pieces are representative of the many different things that make up who we are - our intrinsic selves, the people we are inspired by, and the environment that impacts us. Each section of her art comes together like a puzzle to exhibit the varying shades of their character. Her devotion to telling a tangible story through her brush to the canvas is evident in her paintings, highlighted with vivid, contrasting colors.

You can find Megan hard at work managing her small business, Shop Megan Rose, founded in 2019. From the moment she first stepped foot into a museum to the first time she picked up watercolors, she has known her purpose and goal: to be as bold and as authentic to her creative side as she can be and inspire others to do the same.Â
