About

Megan Rose is an artist and designer based in Northwest Arkansas. She works primarily in acrylic and mixed media, creating abstract paintings that reflect the complexity of identity, emotion, and connection. Her work draws on personal experience, literary influence, and a deep curiosity about how we shape—and are shaped by—the world around us.

From a young age, Megan cultivated a love for the fine arts. She has appeared in gallery shows across the U.S., including the R.W. Norton Museum and Gallery in Shreveport, Louisiana, and has studied through multiple studio workshops with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. It was in these spaces—both traditional and experimental—that her creative practice deepened, and her commitment to authentic expression took root.

Her series Feminine Abstraction explores softness and strength through layered color, movement, and contrast. Each piece is shaped like a visual journal entry: reflective of the intrinsic self, the people who inspire us, and the environment that surrounds us. Many paintings are directly influenced by literature—a natural extension of Megan’s time working at an independent bookstore and, later, at the public library. These roles rekindled her love for stories and storytelling, and ultimately inspired her to merge her two creative lives: art and books.

In 2019, she founded her small business, Shop Megan Rose, where she shares original artwork, prints, and new projects with collectors around the country. Whether through a brushstroke or a book, Megan’s goal remains the same: to stay true to her creative voice and encourage others to do the same.
